# How Deep It Goes > An iceberg chart of what one person knows about a thing they love (a hobby, food, craft or pastime): from what nearly everyone has heard of at the Tip, through the Waterline, Shallows and Deep, down to the Abyss that only they and their circle would know. URL: https://how-deep-it-goes.skillsafe.ai/ API tutorial: https://how-deep-it-goes.skillsafe.ai/api.html ## What it does - Free, in the browser: a topic and 3 to 12 items, each with an optional depth guess. The page draws the guesses as an SVG iceberg in five bands, sinks first-person items (I, my, we, our) to the Abyss, and gives a rank from the guesses alone. - Rank rule (first match wins): fewer than 3 placed items - too murky to chart; average depth (Tip 1 ... Abyss 5) of 4 or more - Abyss dweller; 3 or more - Free diver; 2 or more - Snorkeller; else Tip spotter. - One metered task, `chart-depth` (model gpt-terra): places every item by how widely known it is, with a short reason, writes a caption per band, asks a question for each empty band and notes items whose guess was two or more bands away. The page re-adds the rank from the placed tiers and checks the reply. - Exports: summary line, Markdown, CSV, JSON, SVG and PNG of the iceberg. Saved icebergs go to the person's SkillSafe account. ## Input (all strings) task ("chart-depth"), topic, items (one numbered line per item: text | your guess | about you), facts (lines computed by the page). ## Output One JSON object: task, headline, items[] ({n, tier, why}), captions{tip, waterline, shallows, deep, abyss}, verdict, depth_score, dive_prompts[] ({tier, question}), guess_notes[] ({n, note}), closing. ## Limits A playful judgement of how widely known each item is, not a fact check: the chart never says whether an item is true. Replies never add facts about the topic, never invent times or weather, and never suggest sharing anyone's personal details. ## Source Built on the SkillSafe skill @jwynia/memetic-depth (https://skillsafe.ai/skill/@jwynia/memetic-depth). The layout borrows the iceberg chart, a familiar internet format for showing how deep a subject goes.
